All hotel staff must strictly adhere to these guidelines to ensure the satisfaction of the guests.

Purpose

The purpose of this Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is to establish guidelines for serving meals and interacting with guests in the restaurant.

Scope

This SOP applies to all restaurant staff.

Procedure

Greeting Guests

  1. All restaurant staff must greet guests warmly and naturally.
  2. The greeting must include the guest's name if known.
  3. If at the Lobby, FO Staff should ask guests how many people are in their party and direct them to a table that accommodates their group size.

Taking Orders

  1. Staff must introduce themselves and ask if guests have any questions about the menu.
  2. Staff should take orders accurately, repeating them back to the guests to confirm.
  3. Staff should ask guests about any dietary restrictions or allergies.
  4. Staff should offer suggestions or recommendations if asked.

Serving Meals

  1. All Staff must serve meals promptly and with a smile.
  2. Staff should ensure that all items are served according to the guest's order and that they are presented attractively.
